Why am I onlining here at this lovely friday morning? (: Hehe, I usually don't have classes on Fridays.. but there's replacement class today. Modern Literature History.
And I shall be at MAHA now. What on earth is MAHA? Hehe, let me enlighten you a bit. It's Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture & Agrotourism Show.
Haha, no doubt I'm a language student but don't forgot I'm studying in UPM. And UPM's previous name was Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (now is called Universiti Putra Malaysia). SO, as long as you're a student from UPM, you are obliged to take a subject named Agriculture and Man(Pertanian dan Manusia).
Don't yawn! haha. It might sound boring, but trust me, it's better than TITAS(Tamadun Islam dan Tamadun Asia)! Okay, start yawning.. lol.
First thing, Dr.Mohamad speaks good english (: Second, he tries to make the class interesting. He doesn't care wether we can finish syllabus by the end of the semester. That's why he'll show us photos of fruits/veggies that the ulu city people rarely see :P He explains beyond what the textbook provides. (NOTE: He doesn't READ slides. *hint hint* )
BUT.. there's always a but. Haha. Since he's not a textbook lecturer, he gave us an assignment(NO.. ><). To visit MAHA and write a report about it. T_T
I was reluctant to go because it's far far away, nowhere to be found(shrek's kingdom? haha,lame..). Okay, it's actually somewhere near UPM. Takes about an hour to reach (by bus,change bus in between).
Haha, but when I reached there. I was amazed. Seriously la! If the teachers in primary school ever bring us to any Agriculture Sectors or farms, I MIGHT be taking Agriculture course now. Haha, hard to say.
I think we're not exposed to a lot of fields, that's why when people ask what you want to be when you grow up.. kids will answer,
"doctor"
"lawyer"
"engineer"
"teacher"
sad.
Back to MAHA. It's very cool la.. like you get to know the more about what you EAT. Haha. Like they do a lot of R&D to improve the crops. So we can have higher quality FOOD. Hehe.
For the ones who like to shop, you can shop for food.. even the products which are not in market yet. I tried mangosteen coffee! :D
For the sites.. I've only been to the vegetables'. I became more appreciative towards the food we have (: (not that I don't finish my dish before this, but the feeling is.. undescribable)
There're floriculutre site, aquaculture site, paddy site, pineapple site( woo, I like! :D), livestock site, machineries site, aquaculture site foodcourt(FOOD! xD), state pavilions etc.
Heard state pavilions is very cool.. (hm, I'm lack of vocabulary). Very impressive? You'll get to know what crops do each states grow :D As I mentioned earlier on, we are ulu city people (okay, tell me what crops are selangor/kl famous for.. speechless? no..) so I shall reduce my ulu-ness by going to the state pavilions tomorrow instead of today (:
Paid visits twice but it's so GIGANTIC.. Hopefully I can get the information I want by tomorrow (last day!!!).

P/S: My friend just told me we can walk there from my college(hostel) for 20 minutes! *cries*

Well, this blog hasn't been updated for ages. It's not good. Hm.. Haha, not like I can't live without blogging.. but I guess I shall let my family (mama forgot how to online, hmph) and friends know a little bit of updates about me (since I don't go home so frequent :P)
Talking about going home.. haha.. I learnt a new phrase from my friends - PBSM. Chanel.. (all of sudden I think I should drag Chanel's name in, haha) PBSM stands for.. any wild guess?
